Located within the world-famous Wolong Giant Panda Reserve, Balang Mountain serves as the transitional area between southeastern edge of Qingtai-Tibet Plateau and Sichuan Base with huge elevation differences, rising from around 2000 meters above the sea level to more than 5000 meters. The distribution of plants here shows very distinctive vertical changes. In the flowering season, visitors can always enjoy different flowers and plants in different elevations, often surrounded by sea of peerless beautiful alpine flowers.
Ruoergai Grasslands is a vast flat area in eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with an average elevation of over 3000 meters.As the largest wetlands in China and a Tibetan area, the whole grasslands become a giant natural painting in May every year with blooming flowers and flocks of grazing mammals,yaks and goats.
