Ava | Wu Yufei

Ava joined AlpineBirding in late 2025, focusing on client enquiries, trip planning, and the development of our website content, including tour pages and birding blogs.
Ava has been interested in animals and the natural world from an early age. When she was eight, she joined a birding trip and saw her first Grey-headed Swamphen, an experience that sparked her interest in birding and inspired her to become a birder herself. Today, she remains passionate about exploring China’s diverse birdlife and understands the interests and expectations of fellow birders. She works closely with our guides and regional partners to help develop and refine birding experiences across the country.
Her work ranges from responding to individual enquiries and tailoring itineraries to creating useful and engaging content for birders planning their trips to China. While much of her role is behind the scenes, with a strong interest of China’s nature, culture, and history, Ava also enjoys getting out into the field and leads relaxed, recreational birding trips for guests who enjoy discovering birds, nature, and culture at a leisurely pace.
With her enthusiasm for birds, lifelong interest in the natural world, and close involvement with our guests and local teams, Ava helps bring together the different elements that make an AlpineBirding trip enjoyable and rewarding.
